When I was six years old, I decided that, unlike many adults, I would keep playing with toys and being happy all my life. Questioning society’s prescribed ideas and behaviors became a life-long inquiry into the adventures of the highest human value – raising healthy, self-fulfilled children and ushering them into happy, ethical, self-actualized adulthood – the sole purpose of human society itself.

If history has favored neurotic, insatiable adult populations, our arrival at the limit of that approach was signaled by the star that filled the sky above Hiroshima one morning in 1945. Since then, there has been a growing global appreciation of the need to reverse the old ways and develop child-socialization standards that can (at last) lead to human fulfillment. Human success can no longer be isolated or susceptible to regional upheavals: it must be global. People doing their part to develop a sustainable future through direct child-advocacy and deep field research into its challenges find the happiest, most rewarding work.

Dave is the philosopher and writer of our program, takes care of the general supervision, helps kids check in and out, and does all the pick-ups from school.
